    Happy wife, happy life...I tried to talk her into the Glock 43x or a Sig P365...but she wanted the hellcat. I actually like the gun, cleaned it last night and all the internals look solid, etc...other than these two stupid screws lol

    I don't know if I want to screw it up any further. we won't need the screws as the shield has a different whole placement, but I've never drilled out stripped screws before.

    I never shot a round with the factory parts in it. I took it down to the shop to give it a good cleaning earlier and it does appear to be a potential mag issue. I had 3 rounds in the mag, the 3rd (to last) round chambered fine...pulled the bolt back, cartridge ejected fine...2nd (to last) round...

    Well these mags all run fine in my matching pistol...so who knows. Guns are like women...sometimes it takes a little work to figure out their quirks.

    I'm going to see if a little more break-in, a good cleaning and these mag springs I just ordered do prior to considering contacting Ruger. I think it's probably something simple given it ran 8 out of 10 rounds with zero issue, with base level range ammo. I'll report back after my next range...
