I was really hoping someone would just be bored and do it for free. Just kidding. I would gladly pay. I've Gooden a few quotes and am fine with what they are asking, just wanted to see if I could find a shorter lead time.
I thought about doing that, but would rather just pay someone. The Springer will have to be refinished (cerakoated) so would rather have someone that has done it before do it and knock out the refinish as well.
I just picked up a Springfield LW Operator the other day and want to bobtail it. Anyone know of any places in the metro area that will do this? Also have a Kimber Pro Raptor that needs done as well. I've gotten a few quotes but the lead times are 2-3 months out. Any suggestions or info would be...
Yea it sounds like something with the gas. I'd check the gas block and tube first then check the gas key on the bolt carrier as well to make sure it is properly staked.

I usually buy just the parts I need and then buy upgraded parts for trigger and what not instead of buying a lpk for a mag catch, bolt catch, and buffer retainer.
I would put the top of the slide on a table and try to tap it loose. You could also stick a cleaning rod carefully down the barrel and see how far it goes to see if the round fired or not. If it did hit hard until it budges. If didn't well I am dumb and would probably still hit it hard until it...
Elite Pawn in Conyers had the duracoat kits. I would go with the cerakote though. You can order it online or get one of the many places in Metro Atlanta to do it. Nate at Ft. Daniel did mine and he is awesome.
