    oh nice, I just looked on rugers website at it. very cool! I would throw a email to ruger and ask if this is a known issue with them. include a pic of the stock rear sight to show how far you have to adjust to get a zero.

    is it a take down model? ive heard of sighting in issues with that one if not seated properly and some set screw that has to be adjusted correctly the 1st time its put together.

    wait.....according to the AK experts on here, AKs are incapable of jamming....so is this a troll thread? :confused: lol I would just lube her up and see if it still does it. but it does sound like a mag issue to me.

    are you riding the bolt forward? never do that. pull the charging handle all the way back and release. let it slam forward to chamber a round under its own power.

    yep, that small one is the exact one i got. hopefully get it to work lol. be getting the magpul endplate this week after i pay bills and such. i already spent most my free money on some more ammo/mags and a new grip the other day lol.

    i got big hands lol, that setup looks like it will interfere with my grip to much. i had this on my last AR https://store.magpul.com/product/MAG500/188 and i really liked it.

    lol yeah, figured that would be a fun heated debate lol. oh ok, so its the endplate that gets punched down to stake into the castle nut, so the castle nut wont be marred up from it hopefully. gotta have my battle rifle looking pretty ya know haha!!

    thanks, appreciate it. ill probably get a new castle nut so i dont have to keep it staked. i really dont see a reason for that nut to be staked personally. since im getting the new magpul backplate/castle nut and dont have to worry about the one thats on there, could i use a flat bladed...

    so whats the best way to remove a staked castle nut? i want to put on a magpul ambi sling adapter back there, but the spikes complete lower i bought has a staked castle nut. i dont want to risk damaging/twisting the lower getting it off.

    its all fine and dandy if you want to do that to your gun, but dont expect any kind of resale value. i dont see how people can ask anywhere near retail for a stippled gun.
