  8. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

Started the Cerakote process today. Cleaned and sand blasted the top half, everything I'll be doing black. They are in the oven pre-baking to make sure all the grease and gunk is off. Soon as they are done I'll spray them black and then they'll bake for another 2hr!! Hopefully everything will be...

Hey thanks! My most recent build, CCO 1911 is currently for sale too.
  10. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

I'm not using a Fusion trigger, only thing Fusion is the frame/slide. Yes everything is done with a file. I've never seen a trigger bow that had to be 'shortened' in that regards though. The trigger itself must be filed on the top and bottom to fit in the frame properly but have never seen a...
  11. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

Wow so it's been a long time since I worked/posted pictures of this one. Tonight I flushed and 45'd the end of the barrel. Need to just smooth out the front markings on the barrel and it'll be done. Just needs paint and the final front sight after that. I've been carrying here for a few months...

  14. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

I'll gladly put a price on it if you'd like to buy it, hehe. Probably be more inclined to sell the Gov I built though. Can't wait to carry this daily! Oh and..... Obviously I need to clean things up some so there are no file marks but other than that my only plans are to flush and angle the...
  15. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

Ok back to finishing this thing! So far I have put about 250-300 rounds of factory and reloaded ammo through her with no issues! The next photos show where I have started to work on the feel and looks of the pistol. Cerakote hopefully soon! The only thing I have left to order is the front...
  16. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

The only part I'd be concerned about in that regards is the feed ramp, which I don't plan to touch.
  17. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

This was a function test. Everything was great. I have not started the feel/look work on the pistol yet. No issues with the frame, what kind of issues are you talking about?
  18. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

Yesterday I was able to get to the range and put 50 rounds through her, trouble free! Look for a lot more pictures over the next month while I work on the looks and feel. She's coming along nicely!
  19. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

Fit the new thumb safety today. Very happy with the engagement this time, perfect! Starting to file away some metal! I started with a little bit more agressive file, but not for long, and did most of the work with a simple ignition file. Thumb safety disengaged Thumb safety engaged...
  20. My 1911 CCO build progression - Build #2!!

LOL! Thanks but it's not even fit for looks or feel, just function. I like to make things smooth on my guns. No sharp edges and blend everything!
