Red lock tite has to be heated to around five hundred degrees before it lets up. From what I have heard about rock sett, its good to 2000. I use blue loctite and have never had a problem. I wouldn't use much if any.
I used to have that problem with snub nose .357. It never had a problem with .38 brass or with anything nickel plated. I just figure the short barrel meant short ejector rod.
I would replace the entire trigger assembly. Previous owner probably ground off too much of the engagement surfaces. It will cost about $20 with shipping to replace everything.
I have a zevtech v4 and a factory Glock 3.5 lb on the way. Anyone have experience with just the connector swap ? Ever have any problems ? Failure to reset, double taps ect.....
What are your thoughts ?
.
I recently installed that same hand guard. It wasn't to hard but you should get ahold of a heat gun to loosen up the barrel nut and a torque wrench for the new nut.
It's definatly a cheap rifle . Diamond back DB-15 . Paid $350 at wal mart when they were getting out of it. Already had a canted block and needed straightening .I guess I forgot to mention that I had to drill out the original set screws so there was that. Anyway I'm not worried about gas block...
I recently performed my first hand guard swap out and discovered a couple of things that seem like pretty obvious weaknesses in the AR platform.
First , the set screws in the low profile gas block were so small that you had to use a pine needle sized key to tighten them and the gas tube appears...
im swapping the hand guard on a DB-15. Can anyone tell me how to get the original off? It looks like it has a lock nut of some type but there are no screws to attach it to a barrel nut.
I have a RRA two stage in the one I would use for social work. I just installed the springs in my highest mileage mil spec trigger and it is way lighter and super smooth.
I am debating weather to just go ahead and cut the hook off before I take it out and test it.
PS I forgot to mention the kit...
Just got some yellow JP reduced power springs for an AR. Does anyone here have them ? If so. Any problems with certain types of ammo ? Light primer strikes ?
