Had a fun evening. My next door neighbor's seven year old little boy wanted to shoot his first deer. I dug my old Remington model seven youth out of the safe and spent some time with him on the shooting bench this afternoon. The Mom, Dad, and little boy went to my big box stand, and right at dark, he shot a big doe. He made a perfect shot. It was a great way to end the season.

Great way to end the season! I’m sure that young man will be fired up for next year

I didn’t go the last 2 weeks at all. My spots had dried up. Was a good season though. Made my longest shot on a buck confirmed at 309 yards and 5 does. Never saw any of my target bucks though

This was my 48th deer season and I didn’t start when I was born.
Saw deer every sit this year except one.
Killed a 9pt about 2weeks ago and I hunted this afternoon to try and get a doe or something else.
Had 11 come running by me in the clear cut about 4:30 but couldn’t get a good shot on any of them and then had 3 small ones come out in the food plot about 5:00 but they were to small to shoot.

I took the weekend off to spend with my family. I have extended archery til the 31st….I would like to get a doe with my bow. I passed a young buck back in September and never had another one come anywhere close to bow range.
