Settled in the stand with my daughter, hoping she gets a chance at a nice one. Otherwise it will be several weeks before we can get into the woods again.

Missed a doe first thing this morning, shot right under. To top it off, I can't pull my broadhead out of a stump

Got a doe and two yearlings in front of us now. Its been slow this morning.

Got six hen turkeys in front of us now. All the deer ran off when the turkeys showed up?

Heard squirrels barking about 25 minutes ago, thought it was about to be show time and haven't seen the first deer yet. This early season has been rough for me for some reason. Usually have no problem seeing deer but this year has been different. My target buck was this particular spot at 3 am this morning. I'm hoping he will come back by to get some acorns any time now.

Working today, so I’m living vicariously through all of you.
Kids and I will probably get an after school hunt in this coming week. I have a couple spots with a lot of daytime activity on camera right now.
