I hear ya. For me it's still nice to get away from home and hunt my property. Feels like a vacation every time...No need to go anywhere to hunt anymore. That was a life long dream for me.
My son came home from school this weekend and decided to hunt with his old man this afternoon. I saw 7, he saw 3, nothing big.
Those young bucks seem to like to get after it before the does are ready. I saw some chasing by some youngsters yesterday evening and this morning. I got one on camera too. Sorry for the bad pic.
You're probably not wrong. I have patterned him for that spot a couple other spots.today was the first time late morning here, usually it is earlier around 5am.
Funny thing is, I don't seem to hunt anymore.........But we enjoy watching them
