See attached. It’s always been my understanding that if shooting bow/crossbow you can kill either sex, even on duck only days for firearms.

Interesting. I'm absolutely sure it didn't used to be this way. You could hunt with a bow during any season, but you had to follow the regs for buck or doe for that season. I have no idea when this changed.

The way I read it you can kill a doe on private land with a bow anytime during deer season but not on public land

Know it's been this way for three years because that's one of the reasons I got the crossbow.
