10/22 Porn

Here is the same comparison on the Charger. From stock factory trigger to KIDD components, the difference is like night and day.

I think I'm a fan of KIDD now! (yea, like I wasn't already)

Finally got the rifle trigger job completed. I went ahead and put KIDD components in because I wanted to be able to adjust the over-travel, etc. I also bought extra springs so I can play around with it. This is in an old metal trigger housing that KIDD said would not work with their parts, but they work just fine. I guess mine had better tolerances than average, I don't know.

Here's before / after average of 10 pulls for the rifle. Pure sweetness!

Very nice. I definitely need to explore the home trigger job on a few of mine. BX has worked but enhanced components take it to a new level.

What color spring did you use? Could probably get it down a bit more with some tweaking.

Polishing parts on a BX trigger do smoothen and lighten up the trigger pull. I got a BX trigger to 1lb 15oz just by polishing the hammer and sear.

My problem has always been the amount of pre travel before the break, and over travel after. The adjustability of the Kidd kits, sear set screw/pre travel and the trigger set screw/over travel, take a 10/22 trigger to another level.

On my rifle, I used the white spring. I didn't want to go below 2 lbs because of the way I'll be using this thing most of the time. I probably could go one notch lighter. The best thing about it is the short travel stroke from bottom to reset. I think I'm right at minimum at about 3 cm or less.

On the Charger, I just used the stock spring that came with the set for now. I'm going to shoot them both to see if things settle in some before I make any other adjustments or break out the polishing compound.
