They are both beautiful but I prefer the T stock versus the thumb hole.
Yeah. I like it better too. The T stock’s forearm is almost an inch shorter than the thumbhole, makes the barrel look less “stubby”.
Loving that competition bolt. Awesome.
This went together pretty easily. Just took a couple of thumps on the top of my workbench to seat the barrel. Installed the v block, spring and bolt, trigger group and pins then into the stock.
Found my 10/22 after looking for a long time: PWS Summit bolt action 22. PWS got out of the 22 business a few years back and Volquartsen took it over. I should have not sold my Tac Solutions as this would have matched.
I managed to get out in my backyard this afternoon and put some rounds thru this. Wasn’t trying to shoot really small groups, just trying to break in the barrel and make sure everything functioned. Started out with CCI mini mags, 10 rounds then clean barrel, rinse and repeat. After 50 rounds I’m getting 1”-1 1/4” groups at 50 yards. Switched to CCI standard velocity for the next 50 rounds and by the last 10 the groups tightened up to 3/4”.
