No slop in this one. Kidd barrel in a brand new (non repurposed) receiver. Held on with Kidd barrel block and mounting screws torqued to Kidd specifications. Custom JWH bolt with Ruger charging handle. Barrel precisely centered during install to .005 tilt variation from center.
Tried 4 different bolts and sent barrel back to Kidd. They admitted a very vague issue but still not chambering consistently. Tried everything from CCI SV to Ely target stuff with same results.
I have a second one of these barrels I'm going to install just to try it but haven't gotten around to it yet.
Just frustrating!

Hey, quick question, I have a friend that has a Charger, he wants to put on a 18 inch barrel and an after market stock to have a .22 rifle. Would this be legal?
Actually this receiver is so tight I had to press the barrel in. I could actually be more precise that way which is how I got it so true to center. I'm pretty picky!
Absolutely legal
You can make a charger a rifle as long as barrel length is a legal 16". But you can not make a rifle in to a Charger. If you want to turn it back in to a Charger with no stock and short barrel you can do so.
Took the hammer forged barrels to the range recently. I always get a kick out of the precise muzzle blast on these barrels..
Finally got the case I've been looking for! 10/22 takedown case is perfect for my little 6" Kidd barreled Charger build.
