I never seem to be able to buy just ONE of anything!

So, you've seen this before but I wanted to remind you what it looks like. I built this FDE Charger from a special run receiver/barrel combo that I bought from S&P a while back. It is an incredible shooter and very comfortable and accurate. Unfortunately, in my eye it is a little off balance... so I took it upon myself to remedy the situation and now I believe it's perfect. Fit, function and foto!

Here's the "before" picture:

It just seems a little "heavy" on the back end. Although functional as all get-out, I still had to lean into the scope a little too much for my liking, so... i got out the chainsaw and did this:

So now the fully assembled unit is 1-11/32" shorter and looks like this:

Perfect! Just perfect!

I may just move my Green Mountain SS that I was considering rehoming in to the grey one and call it a day.. But wait.. then I have a Hogue left over.. It is a dilemma for sure..

Made the swap. Now to finally put a scope on it. Unfortunately the range is closed.
Final part arrives today for my Red Lite stock assembly.

Sweeeeett.. I have considered removing the UTG red dot and replacing with a Sig Romeo 5 just sitting on my desk..
I hesitated because mine is on a high mount and not until I just looked in the box that I realized I have a flush mount like yours.
I think maybe I will remove the handguard from mine yours looks much cleaner without it.

I tried both mounts. The high mount was too high with the dot low in the window with a decent cheek weld. The low mount puts the dot in the center with a firm cheek weld. It also puts the sight at a lower bore axis which I prefer. Going to sight it in with my Dobbs .22 can an CCI SV. Hopefully it will be what I expect.

ETA: How did you attach the AFG?

How did you attach the AFG? LOL..
This handiwork was completed by the previous owner. The best way to show is through a photograph. Another reason I think I'll remove it.

Well heck, since the rail is already on there, have you considered something like a Magpul handstop kit instead? Yeah, I know, more money....
