1000 yards

Just traded into a brand new bergara b14 hmr 308. Looking to hit steel at 1000yrds, anyone have any recommendations on a scope, rings and if I need a 20 moa base using 308? I know I need some sort of mil dot reticle, the
vortex hs-t seems to be a good choice and in my price range.

I’m currently doing 400 yards with my bolt gun (ask anybody at the Elbert County Gun Club) but I eventually want to be able to get out to 1000+ with it. Hopefully by next weekend.

I’ve still got half a brick of CCI Standard Velocity left, so I can take all the shots I need to get it dialed in.

20 MOA at least, if your going to be shooting strictly long range you may want to go 40 imo

Mostly just wanting to be able to shoot 1000 every so often, 500yrds more constantly. I've never shot over 300yrds so 1000yrds is just on the bucket list.
