10mm Obsession

Since shooting 10mm more, I honestly have developed an obsession with it and started looking for different ones to fill my new found love for the caliber.

I just got my Rock Island 10mm 1911 back from my favorite Gunsmith where he did quite a bit of work to it.

So, it started out as a Plain 1911-A1 GI Model 10mm No frills and it was nice but with some things I tend to go a bit far with my obsessions.

Blended the new Grip Safety to the frame
Blended the New Ambidextrous Safety to the frame
New Flat Mainsrping Housing
New Wolf Spring Set
Novak Cut on Slide for New sights (were simple GI Style)
New Dawson Sights, Front Red Fiber Optic, Rear Adjustable for Elevation and Windage
New Caspian Trik Trigger and 4.5# crisp break, (smooth as glass) with very short reset
New VZ Grips with Fancy Grip Screws
Fresh Cerakote in Burnt Bronze

It is no longer just a plain Jane RIA and should shoot as well as any high priced one on the market today. I still like the expensive ones though like my Colt Delta Elite 10mm. Now I think my next purchase will be the Ruger 1911 style 10mm.

I fondled one of these at NRA last year...still working up the courage to take the plunge.

16+1 capacity, longslide, what's not to love? Other than the rail. Not a fan of rails on 1911's...
