Be in a stand tomorrow eve thru Mon am.
Been extremely windy at our place. If the wind dies out and it is as cold as it is projected to be should be a great weekend for all

I am so tired of hunting in the wind. Again, the deer were moving in it, so that helps the miserable factor. Saw over 25 tonight, bunches of does and 6 small bucks and spikes. Hopefully the wind will be better tomorrow.

Big Doran’s 2 fawns this evening, no bucks today.

I was sitting on the power line in ground blind and saw a small doe come out at 5:00. 5:15 i started grunting and hit the can a few times. 5:25 i caught a glimpse of a doe running through the woods to the right of power line. I started grunting and heard a buck start shaking trees. I grunted several times he wouldn’t come out lol . I got real aggressive with the grunts and he come out rolling. I had to shoot him while he was trotting. I tell ya he looked way bigger at 125 yards lol.

Got tired of waiting all week for a doe so this little 8 point is gonna be jerky. 64g 223 from 14.5” barrel, only went about 10 yards. First one I ever took with an AR. Who needs a big gun? Lol.

Winchester Deer Season XP.

Broadside shoulder shot, just like I would a bigger caliber. I was a little nervous about the short barrel but it didn’t seem to matter.
