11/23 hunt

Not a ton of action at the farm pond this morning but managed to get this stud drake woodie! Probably getting this one mounted if anybody has taxidermy recommendations around Athens

Congrats! I miss watching them in our backyard pond. Truly gorgeous creatures.
It's in Gwinnett but I believe Fortner's has a good rep when it comes to birds.

Congrats. Make sure you do your research and find the right taxidermist. Birds are tricky. In the meantime, steal some panty hose from your lady friend. Cut off a section from the calf part of the panty hose and carefully slide it over the duck beak first to keep the feathers in place. You can stick it in the freezer until you're ready to surrender it to the taxidermist.
