Sitting here at work listening to the rain coming down and wondering if anyone is going to sit in rain this morning? I may try this afternoon after I get some sleep.

11/24 deer hunt

Yes I am going to go sit in my box stand in the rain this morning.
Going to still hunt this morning, should be quiet walking conditions.
I'm going out. It's not a short drive to my hunt spot so when I'm here I sit regardless of conditions. Never have shot a deer in the cabin. Raining pretty good but will get intermittent and drizzly around 7 and clear up around 9ish. I shoot a lot of good deer around here at 930-1045 for some reason anyway. A drizzle doesnt seem to bother the deer at all from what I've seen. Heavy rain and thunder is different of course. Rained pretty good from 2am on so I think that makes this morning good. Kept em down in the moonlight. That's my theory and I'm sticking with it

In for reports I am headed out of town later today so I am staying here with she who must be obeyed until airport time.
Saw 4 small ones already. They left when the rain slacked off.
I walked past one bedded down in the pines coming to stand this morning. Beautiful in South Ga this morning, today is our 32nd wedding anniversary. This is one our traditions that we hunt on our anniversary. Y'all be safe and good luck.
It stopped raining here in southwestern Floyd county this morning about 4:30’ish. It’s a quiet morning over here. This dang east wind needs to change though so I can get back into my other stand.
What was forecast as a light rain until daylight, has become a hard rain at 8:00. We are in box stands, but haven't seen anything. Maybe when this mess moves out. Makes the 41 degrees feel colder.
