25 feet up on the edge of clearcut meeting a hardwood and pine mix. Saw 2 does so far. Came out of clear-cut and into the wooded area. I'm gonna try to sit til noon. The woodpeckers are just starting so the bucks should be up and moving.

Got a late start this morning. As I was walking through my backfield saw a doe, could have shot her but wanted to see what happens in the stand. Only thing since has been a tiny 8 point.
Big doe and looked to be a spike with short spikes following her, not chasing just close behind just came by.
Be back at it tomorrow, good luck to yall who are out there after it today 
Saw another doe, had my scope on her. She kept stopping and looking back so I held off. All of a sudden she trotted off, and out came another small 8. Should have shot her.

My little huntin' buddy came by here this a.m. to show us his 1st buck. He said he got one foot on his ladder stand, and his buck came running right up on him chasing a doe (i'm guessing he got in the stand late).

Couldn't go this morning and debating this evening. Currently 82 with 3-5mph wind at the property. Cooler said that not much has been coming in due to the abnormal heat.
