I'm done for the week but I wanted to remind you guys that make it out there to be careful when climbing up into your stand...well duh. Yeah, if you're like me you'll find that the mud on your boots doesn't mix well with the rungs on a ladder stand. Also be sure and get those wet leaves off of the platform on your stands before you climb in there.

Good luck ya'll and be safe! Post those pictures later!

I got up to go out but keep looking out the window at the rain, it was a torrential down pour a little bit ago, you know the kind that makes you think it's gonna bust down your windows. Now it's a light drizzle, but I don't really wanna be soaked only to have to come in by 9 anyways to get ready to go to work. I will get one if he walks in my back yard, till then I'm just gonna watch the outdoors comfortably here nice and dry on my back porch with my coffee.

Sitting in the ground blind today for that exact reason. We've hunted the last two days and it has been absolutely miserable(Monroe county). Yesterday was 83 and humid and had mosquitoes trying to carry me away. We haven't seen anything. Hopefully the luck changes today.

Hopefully the deer are as crazy as I am out here. I really should start wearing rain gear.

Bright and sunny here in south GA and supposed to stay that way til around 2 pm or so. Had 2 deer blow at me on the way to the ground blind. A doe and two fawns came out before I could get in the blind, followed shortly thereafter by what would have been a small 4 or 6 point if one side hadnt been broken off. Still kinda kicking myself for not shooting him, but I was hoping something bigger might show up as I'd just gotten here. Also saw a large raccoon and two armadillos on the way to the blind.

On a side note, I did a factory reset on my phone last night thinking Sprint was going to swap it out for one thats not defective. Turns out only the battery is defective and they had to order one so I basically wiped it for nothing. Then I got home and forgot to put all my contacts back in my phone, so even if I shoot something this morning, I cant call anyone to come help me with it.

Well you guys stay safe and enjoy that rain. It skipped right over us, and I was sure hoping for it so I could get out after it hit. We have temp drops coming tomorrow, but the rain chances are shrinking.
