Unfortunately, no. It was moving through at a fairly quick pace. I had to shoot him on the move. Got a perfect entry through the top of his shoulder, exit between the front legs, won’t hurt the mount one bit.
Coyotes seem to stop or at least go slow every now and then. I have seen 3 bobcats over the years and even when they got no clue you're around they seem to be in a hurry. Good shot. You saved somebody's chickens.

Thanks. Our place seems to be covered up with them. I’ve seen three different bobcats this year and the other two seemed to do more looking than walking.
 
Nothing gets the squirrels to go absolutely bonkers like a bobcat slowly strolling through the woods.
I saw a very large reddish colored bobcat crossing post road in Alpharetta a few years back.
It’s so large and tall that it looked like some sort of hybrid.

The spooky thing was even though it was dark and my headlights were shining on it...it seemed to make eye contact with me and stared a hole through me....lol.
