Yeah, the one I saw on the side of the road at night. That's what I'm doing this trip. Trying to find his core area.

Food would be my guess,if the rut is winding down I ve got more mature deer pics in last week than I’ve had since season started around food plots and feeders.

Well. I got to the South Georgia property last night and got to bed nice and early. Then slept for 10 1/2 hours. LOL. Man, I needed it. Been working long hours for that last couple of weeks and didn't realize how tired I was.

I'll be headed out in a little while and have the rest of today and all of tomorrow, so I'm glad I slept late. There's no way I could have at my place. I love this cabin.

My plan for this trip is to primarily scout, so no real harm done by sleeping in.

Big 8 point came by the back deck at the house at 5:12 today, 5:14 on monday.

I went out this morning. Saw a single yearling.

I finally got the feeling back in my feet about supper time.

Wool socks, loose boots, and stuff a hand warmer down your sock near your ankle. Your toes might still get a little cold but it makes a HUGE difference.

I did this yesterday with super light tennis shoes and my feet were fine. Wasn’t planning on wearing them, but my rubber boots got rained in and were still wet inside, and I didn’t discover this until I drove 40 minutes to hunt. Lol.

Folks need to be in their stands this afternoon. Big weather change coming and they are feeding heavy.

Been watching several small groups move through just wearing out the acorns.
