180 Grain 44 MAG Loads (Blue Dot)

Hey folks,

not seeing much info outside of Hornady's 7th manual on this.

180 grain JHP (.429") over Blue Dot.

Found a middle of the road load to try out of a 5.5" SBH (14.6 grains).

Anyone else run something similar or Blue Dot and 180 grain projectiles?

Here is Lee's 2nd Edition Load data for 44mag, lots of data for 180gr jacketed to include Blue Dot.

Nope. Had ok luck with 7.0-8.0 gr under a 300gr jhp as a subsonic plinking load though.

never run it but happened to have Lyman 50th sitting at my desk:

180gr JHC Blue Dot 17.8 min to 20.2 max 1.610" OAL

Also have the new Western Powder manual that has a bunch of 180gr loads, but only for their powders...
