Once more. Pietta assorted parts from the eBay Disassemblers. I said they were kit guns and this hard to acquire 3 in 1851 Sheriff Barrel needed a home and a job.

45 ACP for now and I'll leave the plate loose for a future addition of .22 LR.

Boff-O. Once more Pietta proves it's superior tolerance over Uberti even if the Pietta has a somewhat less refined finish. Here 2024 action perfectly fits 2025 barrel.

And, unlike Uberti, the arbor isn't loose right out of the wrapper.

Kirst 2 step hand. Put it in and promptly reinstalled the Pietta 1 step hand. Maybe the Kirst will work this time but the initial fit is NOT the least bit promising.....

Nope...I don't know yet. Lots of other stuff first.

Yep, new hole for strut on the drill press...but the groove for the hammer to swing over the strut....ready?.... DREMEL!!!!!!

Closing in on the prize, coil mainspring and strut from a Blackhawk. This "try" Mount functions but I'll need to make another to move the at rest position of the strut much closer to the thinned (but not yet fitted) trigger guard. It should free up space for the grip screw, if not I can convert the grips to one piece.....
