1987 Colt MK IV Series 80 Officers ACP

Trigger is all better now. Good length, no frills, all Colt.

Took time to deep clean and inspect everything. Changed the original mainspring for a brand new full power spring. Checked the fit of 2 new factory colt magazines and hit all the friction points with Hi Slip.

An orange tweek and off to the range. Those thin grips suck, zero grip but she runs smooth as a Black Forest clock. Eats everything on hand, spits all the brass fwd about 2 o'clock.

Factory mag holds 6, new Colt mags hold 7.

Blazer brass 230g ball at 830fps is dead on at 5-7 yds.

Federal Syntech Defense 205g segmented at 970 fps is dead on at 5-7 yds.

Fiocchi Defense Dynamics 230g jhp at 850 fps is an inch low at 5-7 yds

Some grip bushings, grips and a stainless hammer spring housing is next.

Very nice work up.

It's called the idiot mark, because it's an idiot mistake to make it, lol.

I've done it of course but never on my clean pieces.

Love me some Colt 1911.

Picked up a 1987 Gold Cup Trophy that needed a spring change and polish out side, as it was in kinda rough shape. Should have gotten pictures.
