Hard choice on barrel length.

Sights easy. One piece steel rocket mountain-ish.

I've found the 5 1/2" is the best overall, but you may be looking for somethin shorter

But. Already have the hammer, trigger and eject springs changed out for new. Much improved trigger. Cleaning and hi-slip should be the extent of action work.

Oh yeah..... grips are in bound....black floral carved, naturally.

Not sure. Simple would be right in front of 1871 out to 5 in but that leaves the Lying Brotherhood imprint on the barrel. A true 4 in might be nice with the ASM ejection if I can locate it in the junk box. Might could get a cheep barrel from sarco but that's a box of different work to time and fit....

I like the looks of a shorter barrel, but when you start getting shorter than 4 3/4" the extractor gets shorter too. Not the worst, but.......
So went back and looked at the pic. The engraving isn't centered in the first place. It looks like at 5 1/2" it would be centered!! I really like that idea!! Just sayin

ive successfully done extractors on saa guns down to 2 7/8" bbl length. somewhere between that and 5.5 is where this one will wind up I'll know how long when the creative spark causes the saw to kiss the barrel. Till then, I never know for sure, final length always just happens.

I'm pretty sure that barrel is going to wind up around 4.9 to 5.1 inches. I'm looking over the NC SBI 45 Colt and the 1860 Army Blackhawk.....and that's the length that'll fit the Tom Three Persons cross draw holster.... I have more than enough Snubbies I think.

I'd go back with the stock front sight too. I like those just fine

Wrapped up in surgical tape for the carry-kut......4 3/4" will be the finished length....just a touch longer and shorter than factory options and just enough to preserve all the barrel markings.
