1911 refinish

Ive got a Kimber Stainless LE that i would like to have refinished. It has some surface scratches and a few shinney spots. Was wondering the best path to take to get it back to the original look.

I have used a piece of 2000 grit wet dry paper to get the scratches out then buffed it lightly with the scotchbrite.

For a superior polish/fluff/buff, I use Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish. Just make sure your getting the black carbon nasty residue when your polishing. They say it on the can, but if you buff and NO CARBON becomes evident, STOP! I would test on some SS mags or something along the lines of your guns finish.
