Spiders don't actually bother me that much, although I kinda hit the panic button when I see a black widow.

Snakes on the other hand - to hell with that. Rat, black, and garden snakes are welcome as long as they stay out of the house. Copperheads, rattlesnakes and cotton mouths - **** no. Ain't having it.

I used to keep hots (venomous) in my house when I was younger. At one time I had two baby Western Diamondbacks in my living room, a copperhead in the dining room and a Gaboon Viper in my bedroom. People use to ask me if they scared me. No, I am not afraid of snakes. I respect them and treat them with care and caution, but they do not scare me. Much like firearms.
