my ex raised some for a science project for our daughter....20 years later....the smell has finally started to diminish....watch out
Enjoy them. In a few a few months you will get to enjoy the most expensive free eggs you’ve ever eaten
This... we raised them for years, the stench can be unreal in the warmer months.
Neighbors hated us.
We realized before hand that would be the case. Both neighbors have them(about 10 birds each and coops are 80-100 yards from us) Never noticed an odor and we just enjoy watching them.
The wildlife buffet is now open!
We started out with 10 chicks, 5 years ago and chicken math is real… we now have 57 pets. They free range all day and they go inside just before dark. They each have their own personality and some are really funny. The secret is to clean the coop every day.
It’s a great feeling to have chickens, just understand that you will loose one from time to time………and they can be a lot of work starting off. We keep between 10-15 birds at a time.
