They may have. I don't keep track of Smith models since there's SO many of them and they're so expensive. The Taurus modeis ARE nice and compact. But they're only 5 shots. If you want to buy a snub revolver with not much recoil then maybe one in 9mm. Gotta be cheaper ammo and more than one company making them. If I'm not mistaken I think Ruger has one in the LCR line.Didn’t S&W make a 380 bodyguard revolver?

No problem. And don't go by what I say. If you think 380 is the way to go then by all means. But if it's for immediate family members you should definitely get them involved. I don't know how many threads I've read here about picking handguns for other folks. It gets very complicated. I'm guilty of it myself. I probably went through 3 auto pistols with my wife before I found something she liked at all. I might as well have been trying to buy her a bra.
