2020 BABY Duramax (check engine lite)

Baby duramax’s complicated computer-controlled coolant management system is a nightmare with it’s multiple mechanical coolant diverters that have to work in harmony. It’s tranny needs separated from the motor at 110k miles for routine maintenance as well. It’s the PEOPLE that have to work on these complicated systems that I don’t trust to be fully trained, human error.
That's why when you do find a diesel tech that knows what hes doing you stick with them wherever they go.. and most of the good ones do move around trying to find the best opportunity they can until they find " A home" and they will finish their careers out. And yes the trans / Tc dont like to much power upgrades on the baby Dmax without getting into
 
Wait what? ‘OneStar’ (assuming you meant On Star) called you and told you the engine would shut down if CEL starts flashing? Sounds like one of those malware scams where they create the problem and sell you the solution. Highly suspect. :thumb:
If the cel starts flashing you best shut it down. Onstar called to inform owner that the CEL alert was something that could turn crucial
