We use companion plants along side the tomatoes. Right now we’re trying basil and marigolds

We also grow basil and marigolds with our tomatoes. Seems to help. If hornworms show up, black light flashlight at night makes for easy identification- they glow like crazy. Those damn things will eat an unbelievable amount of foliage in one night

We've been using heat mats for several years in our sprouting room, best improvement ever. Also switched over to all LED lights.

I'll be building a fence this year to help out, my main problem has been rabbits.

make sure you buy rabbit exclusion wire. It has smaller openings at the bottom

Does anyone know how to stop caterpillars in a tomatoes? Our tomatoes exploded but have attracted caterpillars.

Ive been using this in addition to pick off by hand and throwing in the fishpond... I get a certain amount of enjoyment when the bream eat the hornworms...
