My cousin drew for zone 7 this year so I made the trip down and helped him fill his tag!

First gator for any of us in the family! 8 foot 9 inch.

We hunted zone 7 last year and got a friend one just under 7’. Was gonna go there again this year, but didn’t think the big ramp would be back open. So I chose zone 2 instead. Headed down Saturday to try and hook one.

Nothing wrong with that! There’s a spot on the Hooch side where you should be able to take care of that in short order.

We went down to scout and do some fishing 2 weeks ago on the hooch, out of trail’s end. Only saw 2 babies in daylight, but plenty of eyes at night. I think we’ll get one.
