Remember a smooth trigger doesn't have to be light


Correct. Mine are a bit heavy, but smooth. I also cleaned all the grit, old oil/grease and carbon out of the insides of the gun. I also stoned the rebounding block on the bearing surfaces and oiled the frame mounted trigger and hammer pins. It makes for a predictable and smooth trigger pull.
 
I used a Wilson kit on my S&W 638 and have had zero issues. It really smoothed out the DA trigger and will do the same if I get another.
