22 can info

DA Mask is the one can that makes me feel like it’s an actual suppressor and ready to go to battle. I’ve shot a lot of cans and so many feel like absolute junk just to save around $150.

I like quality tools and lawn equipment that’s not sold at Walmart if that makes sense lol

I had the same questions. I asked about disassembly and cleaning the Dead Air Mask. They showed me how to take it apart and put it back together.

Needless to say, I bought one. No first round pop.

PM me if you’d like to take a test drive. I keep mine on a Frontier Model Long Barrel 24”.

I also have a Ruger 22/45

Fair points there (i get the equipment reference, lol, and i agree). I have also heard on more than one occasion that once one starts shooting 22 suppressed, it quickly becomes a habit or obsession (depending on your personality) lol! Thk u for your input.

I do appreciate the offer. Dead Air makes great stuff based upon my research thus far. Just trying to get best bang for my buck. Thank you sir for the info.

There are a lot of great rimfire cans out there. Figure out your priorities and go with one that fits it. For my first, I wanted a bombproof, easy to maintain unicore baffle system...no K baffles. I settled on the beefy IA Apex-S Multi. I don't even know if they make it anymore. It was special order only when I ordered mine. It's been awesome.

Valid logic there. Bomb proof is always preferred, just need to figure out which is in the realm of 22 cans. Research continues. Thk u sir for the info.

Buy once, cry once. Either way you’re up for a $200 tax stamp.

the main issue for most is if you shoot it a lot you will have to clean it a lot. 22lr is very dirty.

for me the Mask was the best option. it's easy to take apart, and easy to clean. I put the SS baffles in my ss pin tumbler I use for reloading, then put it back together. The shell doesn't really need cleaning and the end caps can usually be wiped down. pretty sure you can do the same with ti parts just don't put aluminum parts in a tumbler you will loose the anodizing.

Been shooting my Mask for 4 or 5 years now, still going strong with many thousands of rounds thru it. 10/22 semi auto, Mark 2 pistol, bergara B14r bolt gun, M&P 15/22, FN 502, works on all of them.

Stay away from Hunter Town Arms. I bought one of their .22 cal cans years ago because it was able to be disassembled for cleaning. Had an issue and tried to contact the company. They told me to send it in. They returned it untouched and will not answer any phone calls or emails now. Apparently this has been a big issue with them having horrible service. I'm really regretting that purchase.

I have a CGS Hydra AL that’s been great. It’s 22LR only, so it’s super light and that was the main selling point to me. They also make a stainless version of the same can that rated up to 5.7x28 I believe.

I don’t think you can go wrong with Sparrow or Mask. They’re definitely the most popular.
