The only reason I own anything in 22lr is for the girls to shoot. Once the youngest is big enough to shoot a 243 we won't have any 22LRs anymore.
Aint nothing better than some suppressed 22!

Same here, I shoot hogs with .22 mag during small game season. Now I use .50cal cap and ball muzlleloader because can't find .22 mag locally.Only real advantage is being able to use it during small game season.

If you are distance shooting, stick with the 17. I have .17 WSM and love it. The only .22 mags I have are AMT Automag and Grendel P30!
I go to Academy and Walmart the one you mentioned (every week) but never see .22mag, most I see is Winchester .17The one on 124 S. of 78. Hell, PM me if you need a box, I probably have 10-15 laying around, I'm more than happy to let a fellow OTD'er enjoy it if I'm not!
*edit* Academy usually has it too on 124 between Snellville and Lawrenceville.
So far never missed the shot with iron sight on .50 cap and ball, one shot the hog drop down on the spot. Not a bad idea, but you better not miss...
