About to do some load work ups for my 243 with 90-100 grain pills for deer hunting, most all shots will be less than 100 yards. I have 300 95 grain Hornady SST bullets and 200 90 grain sierra game changer and 300 + 100 grain speer spbt bullets, I was wondering what’s a go to powder for the 243 and said bullets and has anyone had experience with these bullets on deer, thanks oh my powder on hand is IMR4350 IMR4064 H4350 Varget IMR4831 IMR3031 H4895 don’t think that works anyway thanks for information you can give Ricky!

At that kind of weight bullet, Lyman 51ed has some loads for IMR4831 and a number of other IMR powders in your list, so you should be fine with what you have - obviously, a reloading manual will be much more specific and should be your best guide.

Or the 2024 Hodgdon reloading guide (easier on the pocket) also has loads for that bullet weight with a number of IMR products

Yes I have several manuals was just asking if anyone has had good luck with these bullets and what powder they are currently using. I think I have all the powders for good results for a 243. Thanks

There are going to be other powders out there that might work for you. Hodgdon have just announced one named Ramshot "Grand" which would probably fit the bill too.

I've had great success with IMR3031 and 100gr flat base spire point bullets in a Sako L579. I can't say on your specific bullets, by my combo was good for 1/4" pattern at 100 yards neck sizing only.

All 3 bullets that you have are good ones.
I would probably use the Speer and find a load with them. H414 has always been a good powder for 243 but it’s been discontinued. That’s what I used when loading for 243 but you have some good powders that will work.
Get you a good chronograph and try some loads out.A 6mm is not hard to load for.

And don’t load nothing close to max until you’ve done your homework with your own rifle.
No sir. Always work up! I just loaded the 90 and 95 grain bullets with IMR 4831 39gr to 40 and the Speer and sierra 100 grain bullets with IMR 4350 and H4350 starting with 39-41 H4350 starting at 37-38.5 hopefully will get some good results. I do have a chronograph also now I just need better weather lol
