30-06 vs 308

I gotta pick the -06 Springfield because the 30-06 can be loaded down to .308 velocity but a .308 can't be loaded to the potential of the 30-06.
.308 but then again I own both. Along with 300 WinMag and a Lazzeroni 7.82 (308) Patriot You can never have too many 308 calibers
30-06, because of the wide variety of bullet weights available over the counter..... I shoot mostly 150g and 220g.
Over all I would have to say .308. You can find great semi/full auto weapons in .308
I know you can find 30 06 in auto, but really, would you want to?

I have to go with the '06. Mainly because I have a ton of ammo but also because I grew up with it. Wouldn't knock a .308 though. Great round.
I own both, but if I had to pick one, it would 308. Ballistics are great for everything I do.
