So I got this box of bullets marked 30/30, 150 grain with a lot of other reloading stuff I purchased. Curious if anyone knows of the top of their head which manufacturer there are.

They look exactly like the old style Winchester silver tips. You can see the top of the screen pic where he mentions the 150 grain Winchester silver tips. That was my first guess anyways I just looked for a good picture of them.

I do see Winchester makes a newer version of the silver tip, boat tail, not a flat base

Yeah I was thinking the same on silvertips. Buddy of mine thought the same when he saw them. Just don’t recall any really floating around in long time. Make sense. Same load produced 357 and 10mm boxes of silver tip handgun bullets

Some reloaders have stuff for a long time and don't use them. Looks like they would make great hunting rounds. Self defense loads would be bad either. Just don't blow them on the range. That would be blasphemy!

I debated on just making some loads for my AR10 actually lol.
Sounds good to me. I hear H4064 is a good powder for the 308. Some guy on AR forum used it to replicate the old Federal Gold Medal Match 168 gr. open tip match ammo when it was the bomb. Maybe try and work up some loads with that powder. See how it fairs. I think it 4064. Let me go through my notes and see.

I am sorry it was 42.3 gr. of reloader 15 under the 168 Sierra match king. That was his load that replicated the FGMM rounds. Another load that was highly recommended was with CF223 powder. Just a couple of loads I got from some 308 loaders.
