30 cal Bullet Identification

I am sorry it was 42.3 gr. of reloader 15 under the 168 Sierra match king. That was his load that replicated the FGMM rounds. Another load that was highly recommended was with CF223 powder. Just a couple of loads I got from some 308 loaders.

I actually have that powder and bullet on the shelf already. Never tried them in an AR10 mag to if OAL is compatible.

I’d be curious to see if those round nose with a partial flat tip feed reliably in an AR10.

It's not the same bullet. The one you have the silver part is actually aluminum. The newer silver tips that were Nosler/Winchester combined technology bullets are black with gray tips these are not in production anymore either.

Those that you have, have been out of production for very long time and if you look up on gunbroker they sell easily at a dollar a piece. However you could get 3-5 dollars a piece depending on what others are listed for.

You are correct. The originals were a polymer amalgam coated hollow point done by a chemical process with a black oxide coating called Lubalox. They were done that way to reduce, pressure, fouling and drag on the bore. Then they went to aluminum after a while. None of them were actually silver.
