4 in 1 AR

I"ve got the MRP and love it. I only have the 6.8 and 5.56 barrels but will probably get the 300BO barrel in the near future. would love to have thier 20" SS 204 ruger barrel as well but just can't see using it that often. maybe I'll find a deal on a used one, some day.

I was going to get a 22lr upper but with the price of the S&W M&P15/22's it's hard to not just buy another AR. lol. I think Spikes made some 9mm MRP barrels, and I have seen someone online that will convert any standard barrel to work with the MRP system. It's pretty slick.

it does take an extra few minutes to swap the 6.8 as you have to replace the bolt as well but I can do any number or lengths, SS or chrome lined, calibers, etc.

The MRP is king of caliber changes!

Do you have one of the executive series rifles?

For our Executive rifle you just lock the bolt back, pull the quick release on the hand guard, push the the locking pin out (it is indexed and does not fall out), lift the hand guard up, loosen the barrel nut and remove the barrel assembly.

OK, but is this the rifle that the OP was bragging on? He also referred to loosening the gas block. What's up with that?

I am unsure what system the OP is referring to. In my opinion, if you have to remove the gas block to remove the barrel nut, that is not a quick change. LMT's solution also requires tools to change the barrel, but it can be done in a minute or so with practice. The DRD Tactical QD system is truly tool less, and the barrel can be swapped in about 20 seconds with practice. We have had many customers that are amazed that they are able to assemble the rifle in less than a minute the first time they try it.

Does the rail have an alignment key to mate up with the upper and retain zero on the iron sights?
Also what is the total weight of the rifle?
Finally, can a barrel be user converted for use with the barrel nut assembly or do the additional barrels have to be purchased pre-assembled with the ratcheting barrel nut and gas system pre-installed?

The rail has an alignment key to index it straight. Total weight is right at 7lbs, need to put it on a scale to get an exact weight, the hand guard and barrel nut are pretty beefy. A user can swap to another barrel by swapping the flash hider, gas block and barrel nut to a new barrel or the user can purchase additional barrel nuts for $35. We have a customer that we converted a barrel pinch low pro gas block to a lever release and he flips a latch and slides the gas block and barrel nut off to use on his other barrels. To be honest, it cost as much to make the QD system for the gas block as to have bought extra components to be able to have 2 barrels ready to go.
