I"ve got the MRP and love it. I only have the 6.8 and 5.56 barrels but will probably get the 300BO barrel in the near future. would love to have thier 20" SS 204 ruger barrel as well but just can't see using it that often. maybe I'll find a deal on a used one, some day.
I was going to get a 22lr upper but with the price of the S&W M&P15/22's it's hard to not just buy another AR. lol. I think Spikes made some 9mm MRP barrels, and I have seen someone online that will convert any standard barrel to work with the MRP system. It's pretty slick.
it does take an extra few minutes to swap the 6.8 as you have to replace the bolt as well but I can do any number or lengths, SS or chrome lined, calibers, etc.
OK, but is this the rifle that the OP was bragging on? He also referred to loosening the gas block. What's up with that?
Does the rail have an alignment key to mate up with the upper and retain zero on the iron sights?
Also what is the total weight of the rifle?
Finally, can a barrel be user converted for use with the barrel nut assembly or do the additional barrels have to be purchased pre-assembled with the ratcheting barrel nut and gas system pre-installed?
