The last three set of tires I bought for three different vehicles from three different tire shops have had at least two tires from each set that were defective. One set of Bridgestones, one Goodyear and third brand I cant remember. Anyone else experiencing this many defective tires? In every case, the tech just balanced them and sent me home. If he had sighted down the tread while balancing, they could have caught it on the install. Instead they march on and I get to fight for a replacement. If I ever run across a coats for a deal Im making room for it in my shop. So -tired- of getting stuck with crap tires that they should have caught during the install.

Never had this happen with the Coopers I run on every vehicle except for my classic car.
I ran mostly coopers at the private shop I worked at and dont remember having a problem with them.

Had that issue on my F250 with Yokohamas, and Continentals. You couldn’t talk me into a free set now… Hate to pay the price but never had issues with Michelins or Bridgestones
This is the first problem Ive had with Bridgestones. Ran duellers 25 years ago when they first came out and they were awesome. This set Im not so sure of.

Had a set of Falken tires put on my wife’s Explorer. After a few days she started complaining about the vehicle shaking. Now, I don’t drive her vehicle hardly ever, but took it down the road and I wondered why it took her so long to say something. It was like it had slung every wheel weight off. Took it back to Discount Tire and they checked it and apologized profusely…said it should have never left the shop and replaced them with Pirelli’s top line. Three outta four tires the tread was good on and one was so bad on you could see the difference rolling it on the floor.
No issues with the Pirelli’s and it’s the first set of them we’ve had. This has been in the last month too…

EDIT: the Pirelli’s did suck up a roofing nail the day after install..lol

Well, you know uncle Donald pissed him Chinese off so now they’re using used condoms to make the tires

The quality has gotten so bad now that you really need to only get tires at a place that has a “road force balancer “

It’s a balancer that has a roller that presses hard against the tire to detect soft spots in the sidewalls .
Simulates the load on the tire when it’s on the car .

A tire can balance fine but if it’s got a soft spot in the sidewalk somewhere it will ride rough
