Very tempting since Ive been wanting to get a 1911 again. Remington isn't what it use to be though.

I bought one of these when they 1st came out - I already had one with about 2500 rounds through it and really like the gun, just a solid built 1911, no frills that eats just about anything. For the price point you can't beat it. I paid about $400 used with 200-300 rounds through it, great gun and I still use it regularly. The new ones however are built in Alabama and come with cheap magazines, a cardboard box and a slop in the trigger that I just couldn't tolerate. The slop comes from the milling in the gun being cut too wide for the trigger. Sold it for a little loss but I considered myself fortunate as it would never be on my favorite shooter list.
