Hey everyone I have a question on my 460 smith.. I have been currently reloading the 200gr Hornady FTX bullets with H110 at 47g and it’s a nice shooting combo.. I recently purchased the 250grain FTX bullets to see if they’re more accurate than the 200g. The issue that I’m running into is the 250 grain FTX projectiles say rifle on the box of bullets. There .452 diameter same as the 200g FTX, when I measure the 200g FTX they measure .451 and the 250g measure .452. The 460 manual shows .452 projectiles. I’m wondering if the 250FTX rifle bullets have a longer bearing surface, they also have no cannelure, I’m wondering if they will make more pressure..? Can I use the 250 in a pistol?, and why do the 200g measure .001 less than the box? Any help would be appreciated.?
