My dad is the greatest, but I have plenty of .22 so I am not in. Hopefully someone who wants to take their kids shooting will win. And I will give him a hug when I see him later today........:thumb:

I lost my Dad in 2008, the day after Thanksgiving to Leukemia, he was 86. He served on PT boats in the South Pacific in WW2 and after the war he worked on the farm until Korea and volunteered for the Army. He had two Honorable Discharges with commendations, one from the Navy and another from the Army. I was always so proud of his integrity and fierce love of country. He was the toughest man I ever met, both physically and mentally. The one thing I have always tried to do is something he told me many times, "Say what you mean and mean what you say". I could never have been a Diplomat, I tend to be brutally honest with people just like my Dad. For all the sons and daughters that still have your Dads with you, make sure to tell them you love them.

In.

Dad lives down in Florida. He is retired. 20 year Army man. Non-com E7 I believe. He never talked about what he did but I know he had a clearance as high as anyone. After he got out he worked a normal job while becoming a Baptist Minister.

His health has gone to **** recently. Had a pacemaker installed. Has serious lung and breathing issues,

My dad is an Amazing man......1Sgt Army Ranger Instructor. Fought in Korea and Vietnam. Two purple hearts, silver star, 4 bronze stars, vietnamese cross of gallantry, and dozens more. He always has a smile on his face and is either whistleing or singing constantly. He is 77 and is always working gardening, building, etc. all of which is pretty impressive, but the best is that he is a Godly man and has ministered the gospel for the last 30 years. It's amazing what a sharecropper with a 6th grade education can accomplish. Love my Dad.....he is truly my hero.
