It does feel pretty good - For me it feels better with the well attached as on my hand - my pinky finger rests on the ridge of the well and its more comfortable with the well but I like the look of it without the well attached - I might just sand off the ridge that is where the well affixes and my pinky rests to minimize the edge of it.
