Interesting idea!

I would think that the machining would be beyond the grasp of most normal people. Maybe a few guys here who are up to us, but not me. I don't come close to having the equipment or skill for that one.

-Would be a great project if you had the knowhow/ stuff though!

Yep I would love to do this. But I'll echo what so many others have said. Equipment and skills. I don't even have a drill press. And yes there are lots of vids and even pdf instructions online.
