9mm

9mm, 9mm NATO, 9mm Parabellum, 9x19mm, 9mm Luger ALL THE SAME

9x18, 9mm Makarov SAME

9mm Kurz, 9mm Short, 380 ACP, 380 Browning, 9mm Corto SAME

There are about 20 other cartridges in various 9mm flavors, but these are the ones you'll probably run into.

The next few that are semi-popular are 38 Super and 9x21. But those are kinda scarce...

Correct name for the most common 9mm is 9x19, or 9mm Parabellum or 9mm Luger. Usually used in locked-breach firearms.
9mm NATO has the same external dimensions as 9X19 Luger, but can be found in hotter, submachine gun loadings. I would not attempt to fire it from a compact or a weaker handgun.
You also have 380 ACP, which is the same as 9mm Short, 9mm Browning, 9mm Kurz or 9X17, usually used in unlocked breach blowback firearms
9mm Makarov is 9x18, designed to obtain maximum velocities from an unlocked breach.
Than you have 9x23 Largo, same as 9x23 Bergamann-Bayard.
And 9x21 Gyurza
And 9x25 Dillon
