then propping it up with stacked cans soup, so they can crawl under there and change the motor oil.

Notice the tire on this side isn't flat. That must be a dried piece of wood. First thing I thought of was a Ford pickup. If he has to try and stop fast and survives, he'll need to change his shorts........

Even Balsa (7 to 9 lbs/board ft) would be almost 1000 lbs ... which is probably about the weight this little truck is rated to haul safely.
Appears to be Suar Wood also known as South American Walnut.
